Job SummaryThe PEG Fund Accountant is responsible for working with a team of professionals to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of all quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables for multiple real estate investment funds within PEG's investment strategies. The Fund Accountant will report to the Fund Assistant Controller and must be able to operate in a deadline-driven and collaborative environment. The Fund Staff Accountant must be a team player, self-starter, well organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Position ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and footnote disclosuresPrepare financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other standards, where applicable, as they relate to investment companies, principles of consolidation, and fair value measurementReview work paper support and documentation for financial reportsAssist with the design, implementation, and documentation of policies and procedures; and maintain financial reporting controlsInterpret fund and investor governing documents to ensure proper application of terms for investor allocations, management fees, and carried interestAssist with the coordination of outside third-party service provider relationships (Fund Admin, Tax, Audit, Placement Agents, etc.)Drive continual process improvement through the use and implementation of technologyFollow PEG policies and procedures and comply with state and federal lawsAssist the fund manager in their duties (capital calls, distributions, etc.)Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting, master's degree preferredDemonstrated leadership, through team building, mentoring, and motivating professional staffAdvanced MS Excel and strong written and verbal communication skills
