This is a brand-new position for the company and having the opportunity to expand their growing team. This is a customer- facing position so this person will need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.This position is on-site in the Provo, Utah area.Key Responsibilities:Manage financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and tax complianceOversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportsDevelop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting regulationsMonitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide regular updates to senior managementProvide strategic financial guidance to senior management, including financial forecasting, and risk managementManage relationships with customers and any external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial service providersDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and board membersQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA Certification is highly preferred5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including a leadership role3-5 years of public accounting experience requiredMust be willing to be onsite dailyExcellent knowledge of US GAAP and other relevant accounting regulationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic financial guidanceExperience with financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and forecastingExperience managing a team and overseeing financial operationsExperience with ERP systems and financial software
