Position SummaryThe Controller is responsible for the financial well-being of the company. Advises management and others of the impact of decisions and alternatives of approach that are financial sound.Responsibilities--- Take the lead in the month-end and year-end close, including creating and entering journal entries and performing general ledger account analysis--- Manage indirect cost reports and submissions--- Prepare monthly financial reports for senior operations personnel--- Oversee and prepare customer invoices--- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations--- Fixed Asset Accounting--- Assist with the annual financial audit--- Assist with development of the annual budget--- Manage state filing and registration process--- Sales and Property Tax Return preparation--- Perform special projects--- Occasional travel required ( Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal CharacteristicsKnowledge--- Working knowledge of US GAAP required--- Knowledge of Excel and Word experience requiredSkills--- Experience with a major ERP Financial Management system required, experience with NetSuite preferred--- Must be a problem solver--- Experience with Commercial Contracts required--- Experience in a Cost Accounting environment strongly preferred--- Revenue recognitionAbilities--- Ability to collaborate professionally with operational department and external vendors--- Ability to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the companies goals.Personal Characteristics--- Integrity--- ConfidentialPreferred Qualifications--- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required--- Minimum 8-15 years general ledger accounting experience--- CPA preferredDisclaimerAll Future Comp employees must pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to being hired.
