Job Description Job Description Purchasing Agent What You’ll Do
Plan and procure materials and components based on production
schedules and forecasts Create and manage purchase orders using
ERP/MRP systems Coordinate with production, engineering, and
quality teams to support builds and changes Maintain accurate item,
cost, and unit-of-measure data in ERP Monitor inventory levels to
balance JIT requirements and minimize excess Manage supplier
performance, delivery issues, and pricing discrepancies Support
cost control initiatives and vendor optimization efforts Track KPIs
such as inventory turnover, delivery accuracy, and cost variances
Assist with month-end material cost review and inventory accuracy
What We’re Looking For 3 years of experience in purchasing, buying,
or material planning within manufacturing ERP/MRP experience
required Strong Excel skills (analysis, tracking, reporting)
Working knowledge of inventory costing (standard vs. last cost, UOM
accuracy) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage
multiple priorities Preferred (Not Required) Experience in
electronics, electromechanical, or similar manufacturing
environments Exposure to JIT, lean manufacturing, or kanban systems
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification Familiarity with ISO or similar
quality systems Additional Notes Office-based role with regular
interaction with production operations Client details will be
