Job Description:
USU Eastern Upward Bound is a federally funded grant program
designed to encourage postsecondary preparation of high school
students who are from low-income families and are first-generation
college bound students. During a six week summer program
approximately 30 Upward Bound students experience intensive
academic, cultural, and social expansion while living in the
residence halls at USU Eastern. The students will be attending
class beginning June 5th, 2023 and will continue through July 7th,
2023. Classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a lunch
break and a study hall in between classes. Each teacher will teach
up to 30 students in grades 9-12 for one hour a day, four days a
week (Monday-Thursday). We are looking for teachers who are
qualified to teach:

of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and

Carbon counties during the school year and 30 high school students
from Grand, Emery and Carbon counties in our summer program. Utah
