Facilities Engineering Manager 2. Roles and Responsibilities: This
role will be responsible for the facility management of
approximately 300,000 square feet of commercial real estate
(office, lab, warehouse, and manufacturing space) including all
daily operations. Lead, manage, and supervise various crafts,
vendors, and contractors responsible for maintaining and repairing
Climate Control Environments, Automated Equipment, Programmable
Control Systems, Plant Air Compressors, Low Pressure Boilers etc.
Develop and manage facility operating budgets, and capital
expenditures for the site. Partners with the site senior management
and business development leadership to plan and manage site
requirements Presents intelligent building modification /
utilization options to management with recommendations for
alternatives Coordinate with staff on duties, responsibilities,
projects, schedules and budgets, with recurring meetings Prepares
and presents status reports for management and site management
Develops and implements strategic facility plans that leverage
resources and achieves an efficient and cost-effective operating
model Collaborate with Maintenance and Planning teams, and Business
Management support teams, to collect, validate, and prioritize
future Facilities and User projects for Capital and Indirect
AOP/LRSP inputs and reviews. Establishes and maintains service
agreements Manages and reports space utilization and occupancy
Responsible for Facility appearance, building infrastructure
equipment operation, site safety, EH&S and OSHA compliance and
reporting Compliance with sector space utilization policies,
collaboration with other functional support teams, supporting Real
Estate transaction management in the acquisition/disposition of
space and provision of data to support sector/corporate metric
development and space utilization Business resumption and emergency
preparedness This position will collaborate, Design and
Construction activities for facility modifications. Review and
adjudicate all space and facility modification requests to confirm
alignment with Sector & Site growth strategy. Review layouts,
provide cost estimates, final project cost approval. Plans,
designs, and participates in the reconfiguration, maintenance, and
alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and
other facilities. Will gather and review data concerning facility
or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions,
required completion date, and construction feasibility. Coordinates
with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria
and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and
contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and
estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor,
materials, preparation, and other related costs. Coordinates with
engineering firms, contractors and internal groups to execute
projects. Utilizes Maintenance Connection computerized maintenance
management system to schedule, track and report on equipment and
infrastructure maintenance, service requests/work orders and
trouble calls; ensure all maintenance team employees are following
established practices for updating and using Maintenance
Connection. Provide regular appraisals of site
infrastructure/equipment to senior Division leadership. Ensure
buildings and equipment are maintained with a robust Preventive
Maintenance program, utilize existing Work Order System and output
metrics Establish Preventative Maintenance scope and frequency for
all new equipment. Continuously review existing plans for accuracy
and best practice. Support building infrastructure maintenance with
personnel, addressing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment
controls programming (BMS – Building Management System), remote
monitoring systems, and general maintenance. Ensure code compliance
for operations equipment and buildings, addressing recurring
maintenance needs. Excellent communication skills required, capable
of holding effective meetings with peers and stakeholders. Strong
leadership qualities, communication and interpersonal skills,
exceptional writing, organization and planning experience Travel to
other sites as needed. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and
8 years of facility related experience or; a Master’s degree and 6
years of facility related experience or; an additional 4 years of
applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's
degree. Experience leading/managing teams/projects with direct
reports. Experience and knowledge of Facilities infrastructure,
equipment, redundancies, electrical and mechanical systems, and
basic code requirements. Experience working with MS Office
applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and
Project. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD
Secret security clearance. Working knowledge of one or more of the
following, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, compressors,
tempered water systems, steam production, wastewater systems, high
voltage systems etc. Experience leading or managing teams/projects.
Management of a team, goal setting, performance reviews, regional
experience. Strong leadership qualities, communication and
interpersonal skills, exceptional writing, organization and
planning experience Primary Level Salary Range: $158,200.00 -
$189,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
(PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The application period
