Systems has an opening for an Associate Tool Engineer/ Tool
Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This
position is located in Clearfield, Utah. This position will support
the A Shift: Mon – Thur, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Every other Friday 6:30
AM - 3:00 PM; noted schedule is approximate and includes a 30
minute, unpaid lunch break ) Our team supports design and
integration of tooling to support Aerospace composite part
fabrication, handling, and assembly for the commercial and defense
aerospace industries. Engineers get the opportunity to manage their
work from design concept thru implementation. Our Tooling Team
works independently, but interacts closely with safety,
engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to achieve expectations.
Primary Responsibilities: Manages and supports integration of new
tooling from design through sustainment Supervises and supports
critical production builds involving technical tooling processes
Provides communication to Integrated Product Team (IPT) leaders
regarding cost and schedule including escalation of any technical
issues. Works intimately with Manufacturing engineering to deliver
tools that meet product build requirements. Recommends and often
leads continuous improvement activities to support cost savings and
cost avoidance targets. Manages external Tooling Design/Fabrication
Shops on Design/Build projects Proofs tooling upon receipt in a
production environment Uses Microsoft applications to communicate
and present tooling progress Secondary Responsibilities: Supports
the tool design group with design projects and tasks which include
3D modeling, 2D drafting and checking Concepts and designs special
tooling within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure Uses
and/or manages Computer Aided Design (CAD) resources for tooling
design (primarily NX) Witnesses/approves source inspection of
special tooling at supplier locations before acceptance Provides
tooling cost/schedule estimates for new tools and or tooling
modifications Our team enjoys a fast-paced work environment with

internal and external customers. We work closely with manufacturing
engineers, CAD designers, safety, and operations. We pride
ourselves in coming up with new ways to provide tooling that is
safe, cost effective, and operationally efficient. This role may be
filled at the Associate Tool Engineer (Level 1) or Tool Engineer
(Level 2) based on the qualifications outlined below. Basic
Qualifications for an Associate Tool Engineer: A candidate,
regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below
criteria. The candidate must: Be completing or has completed their
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by May 2026 Be
majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering or Math) degree Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S.
Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of
time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S.
citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government
security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as
Program Special Access may be required to start. Basic
Qualifications for a Tooling Engineer (Level 2) Be completing or
has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution
by May 2026 or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an
accredited institution by May 2026 and 2 years of related
experience Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering or Math) degree Be able to obtain and
maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is
a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a
reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its
business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final
approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a
pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to
start. Preferred Qualifications: Previous internship/co-op or other
work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal
communication skills, and activities
(professional/community/extracurricular) Active DoD Secret Security
Clearance Experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with
tooling for composites manufacturing and handling Experience in
design of molds, machining fixtures, handling, and assembly tools
for composite manufacturing Experience in design, fabrication and
implementation of tooling used in the manufacture of composite
parts Strong project management and communication skills
Understanding of general metallic fabrication including welding and
machining Understanding of and ability to use 3D CAD systems
Capable of creating free-body-diagrams and analyzing tooling for
allowable stress and fatigue Pay Range: Associate Tool Engineer
$59,900 to $89,900 Tool Engineer $72,100 to $108,100 The
