Department/Unit Summary The Women‘s Services Unit at Castleview
embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication,
essential for providing specialized care patients. The Center for
Women & Babies offers a comprehensive program of medical and
surgical services tailored to the unique needs of female patients.
How you‘ll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this
role: Prioritizes and organizes delivery of nursing care; accepting
a variety of assignments and consulting with other disciplines as
appropriate. Assists in staff development activities, including
orienting, instructing and training others, emphasizing
departmental, as well as interdepartmental cooperation and
teamwork. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient‘s comfort and privacy
and expresses interest in their progress and aids patients and
families as needed in times of stress or crisis. Performs plan of
care intervention, including medication administration, specimen
collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care
treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and
communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team,
physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing
activities of daily living, including personal hygiene,
elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed
across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient
transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support
needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and
provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture,
condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical

Qualifications and requirements: Bachelor‘s degree preferred Must
have a current, valid Utah nursing license, compact state license
or Utah apprentice RN License Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60
days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6
months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6
months of hire. Stable within 1year of hire. NRP within 1 year of
