Position: Licensed Practical Technician (LPT)
Department: Salem Family Medicine
+ High school graduate or GED
+ Licensed Practical Technician* (LPT certified) license
+ CPR certification required within 3 months of hire date.
+ PC capability with working knowledge of standard software such
as Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Centricity Business and Allscripts experience preferred.
+ Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
+ Acquires Bone Mineral Density (BMD), Vertebral Fracture
Assessments (VFAs) and Body Composition Analysis (BCA) measurements
skillfully using GE PRODIGY LUNAR dual energy X-ray Absorptiometry
(DEXA) Bone Densitometer, following procedures in the GE Operator's
+ Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and
+ Assists with the scheduling of tests and treatments.
+ Maintains patient records and other information.
+ Provides courteous and friendly service to all patients and
contributes to a positive work environment.
+ Works as needed.
+ Generate and maintain database of BMD, VFA and BCA results and
maintain accurate record keeping and patient documentation
+ Complete required forms, analyze scans, prints, files,
distribute and/or transmit data to providers in a timely
+ Monitor DEXA machine by performing daily quality controls
+ Schedule annual preventive maintenance for DEXA machine
+ Archive scans on a daily basis
+ Perform height and weight assessment for each visit
+ Responds promptly, professionally and courteously to patient's
+ Provides efficient effective patient care in compliance with
clinic policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards
+ Maintains CPR certification
+ Attends meetings as required
