Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer
will provide support on project work to maintain and improve plant
infrastructure and process reliability. The maintenance team will
advance mechanical integrity initiatives using process safety
You Will Have the Opportunity to:
Coordinate with departmental and plant stakeholders to deploy
and continuously improve Process Safety Management (PSM)
Inspection, testing, and Preventative Maintenance plan for covered
processes. Extend concepts into other non-covered processes at the
direction of the maintenance manager.
Achieve the locations mechanical reliability and infrastructure
goals to support plant operations. Assist with the development of
near-term and long-term strategic maintenance plans for scheduled
downtime; support and lead electrical, mechanical and automation
Manage projects through entire life cycle, including support to
bidding process, contractor/construction oversight, budget
management, quality control and project closeout.
Develop technical specifications, drawings/schematics, scopes of
work, schedules, cost estimates and presentations in order to plan
and execute capital and expense project work.
Develop AutoCAD drawings as applicable for assigned work.
Support other drafting initiatives within the department including
outsourcing to external services when necessary.
Assist and participate in other engineering and professional
activities at the facility including Lean Sigma, EH&S,
workforce technical training, service provider relationships, best
practices identification/benchmarking, and community outreach.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Minimum 5 years previous engineering experience in an industrial
or chemical environment.
Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Reliability
Centered Maintenance (RCM) in an industrial or chemical
Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is
contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility
for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the
licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State,
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S.
Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S.
citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.,
a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a
National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to
U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person
to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose
technology comes under its jurisdiction.
