Histotechnologist ASCP/Mountain View Hospital
Histotechnologist ASCP
Organizes, processes, cuts, stains, and otherwise prepares tissue for microscopic evaluation by the Pathologist. He/She ensures that the organization of gross specimens and the accurate processing in staining of tissue sections is completed. Ensures Histology section is being run efficiently.

Qualifications

  1. Position Requirements:
  1. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered as a Histology Technician by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

  1. Education: Bachelors Degree and 1 year full time experience in Histology under a certified Pathologist. Must be a registered Histology Technician.

  1. Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience in histology section.

  1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem solving skills. Qualified candidate will possess exemplary performance and commitment to job.
