Labor & Delivery Nurse: Full-Time 6-6

Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting.  Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care.  Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including:  fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies.  Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.  Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision.  Participates in process improvement activities.

License: Current State of Utah Registered Nurse license or Compact RN license required.
Education:  Graduate of a school of Nursing.  BSN is desirable
Experience: One or more years of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred.
Certifications: 
  • AmericanRed Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS)and Certification (available after hire).
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification - must obtain within 1 year of hire and then maintain certification.
  • AmericanRed Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (ACLS) andCertification - must obtain within 1 year of hire and then maintain certification.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Fetal Monitoring certification preferred.  Must obtain NRP certification within 1 year from date of hire and then maintain certification.
