benefitsOverviewThe Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator plans and
coordinates the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational
activities pertaining to resources, support, advocacy, recruiting,
education, and events that promote and provide a welcoming campus
for all USU Eastern students. This position will also provide
leadership, guidance, continuity, and direction for Student Clubs
and Organizations at USU Eastern.ResponsibilitiesReporting and
Supervisory Responsibilities:The Diversity and Inclusion
Coordinator reports to the Director of Campus Life. This position
will supervise and train student leaders and volunteers.Duties and
Responsibilities:Designs, coordinates, and implements the following
aspects of diversity and inclusion: Heritage programs, Diversity
Series, Annual Diversity Conference, Queer Resource Center,
recruitment and retention of underrepresented students, community
engagement, cultural engagement, training, awareness, and
education.Provides leadership, guidance, continuity, and directions
for Student Clubs and Organizations. This includes, but is not
limited to, the annual recognition process, training, Club Rush,
and maintaining current policies and procedures for Student Clubs
and Organizations.Serves as a principal liaison between students,
faculty, staff, other departments, and/or external constituents for
diversity and inclusion.Facilitates seminars, meetings, and special
projects.Coordinates activities of student leaders, consultants,
faculty, and/or volunteers engaged in the implementation and
administration of program objectives.Monitors and administers
program revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the
development of funding proposals for the program.Writes, edits, and
coordinates the development of promotional materials, educational
materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as
appropriate to the program.Collects and analyzes data; prepares
reports; and maintains program records and statistical
information.Ensures completion of clerical and administrative
support tasks, including creating, typing, and editing program
correspondence and purchasing documents, reports, program
handbooks, and other publications.Writes and/or assists with
writing grants and proposals as appropriate to the objectives and
funding nature of the program.Maintains and creates content
relevant for the program website.Assists in the training and
development of student leaders, volunteers, and graduate
students.Supports and Collaborates with the Director of Campus Life
and serves as a proxy for the Director of Campus Life when called
upon.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as
assigned.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Associate degree plus
two years of related work experience; or a bachelor's degree in a
related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus
