RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce's client, a growing Engineering
Technology Company is seeking a Senior Production Manufacturing
Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this
exclusive search assignment. Summary: The Senior Production
Manufacturing Engineer will work on a cross functional team of
capable and experienced engineers who are working to scale and
commercialize novel airspace protection and defense products. With
skills and experience in process development and design transfer of
products, the Production Engineer develops scalable processes, and
introduce superior, highly effective, and safe products to the
market. Responsibilities:
- Drive documentation of product assembly, test procedures, test
jig & fixture designs
- Provide design engineering and product development with
feedback to increase manufacturability, product quality, and system
integration
- Oversee failure analysis process and drive corrective and
preventative actions
- Senior Production Manufacturing Engineer will develop incoming
inspection test requirements to enhance overall product
quality
- Work with production to implement better workflows and
production processes through continuous improvements and
automation
- Working closely with Hardware and Software Design Engineering
to provide guidance and recommend design changes to fit the
company's current and future manufacturing processes
- Develop, implement, monitor, and optimize manufacturing
processes and methods, in accordance with product specifications
and quality standards
- Critical liaison between Design and Manufacturing teams to
ensure design for excellence/manufacturing best practices are
implemented into product design as early in development as
possible
- Primary owner of pre-production manufacturing builds during
product development phases, including hands-on assembly and then
assembly with manufacturing operators
- Generate detailed documentation (Travelers, BOMs, Routings) in
support of manufacturing assembly Job Requirements:REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar Engineering
discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience as a Manufacturing
Engineer in a relevant manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated strong DFM knowledge including mistake-proofing,
simplification, standardization, and testing
- Root cause analysis, failure analysis and corrective action
experience
- Experience taking a product to manufacturing production
- Working knowledge of new product introduction (NPI)
- Experience with developing aerospace devices or other highly
regulated industries through commercialization; Includes design for
cost of goods and manufacturing
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical product development
- Able to manage projects from initiation to production
launch
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD Software is a plus
but not required
- Ability to lead fast-paced projects with a keen sense of
urgency to get the job done well
- Evidence of "hands-on" experience and expertise
- Proven and successful track record as a team-player and
collaborator in small working environments
- Highly organized and detail oriented with a passion to deliver
quality results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with
experience translating technical concepts into user-friendly
documentation
