The Prehistoric Museum at USU Eastern is looking to fill a
Visitor Center Desk Clerk position. This position works Saturdays
and Sundays at the Visitor Center desk and is primarily responsible
for answering visitor questions about the region and its resources.
This position is responsible for greeting visitors and directing
them to the resources at the visitor center. They are also expected
to provide accurate information and reliable directions to
recreation destinations, lodging, dining options and other items of
interest in the county and region.

Primary responsibilities of this position include but are not
+ Greets & welcomes visitors upon their arrival and helps orient
them to the area
+ Accurately answer visitor questions regarding a wide variety of
topics including general questions, directional questions and
questions about tourism & other attractions in the area by
utilizing information received during training.
+ Helps monitors and controls visitor flow into Museum spaces at
entry and exit points.
+ Reports any issues with visitor flow to Weekend Supervisor.
+ Responds to visitor concerns and complaints by utilizing
information received during training.
+ Provides professional, efficient, and approachable support and
excellent customer service to visitors and locals alike.
+ Answers the telephone; takes and relays messages or directs calls
to appropriate personnel; returns calls as necessary.
+ Organizes and maintains the Carbon Corridor Visitor Center. This
includes re-stocking materials and checking general cleanliness and

$12.00 an hour
This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must
have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities
of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and
standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be
required to use protective equipment.
