MW_Job SummaryThis role is used to supervise employees and
contractors engaged in the planning, construction, operation,
maintenance, repair and restoration of natural gas Transmission
facilities, project and resource management, customer involvement
and monitoring of work. Ensures the safe, reliable and efficient
operation of natural gas Transmission facilities and equipment.
Ensures proper work methods are applied and safety precautions are
followed. Resolves customer complaints. Advises and assists in
training and development of employees. Communicates across varied
disciplines to complete tasks and resolve issues. This role may act
as a liaison with public officials, landowners, regulatory
personnel, contractors and company employees. Administers and
adheres to company policies. Monitors budgets, goals and employee
productivity.Generally, incumbents in this role will have specific
responsibilities and duties that relate to one of the following
functions: Oversees operating or maintenance personnel in either an
operational area of the pipeline system or over a support related
group of employees that perform work throughout the pipeline
system, Provides technical support in the design of natural gas
transmission systems through project planning, designing, drafting,
fabrication, construction, and as built records, Manages operations
activities in a remote office, Oversees employees engaged in the
operation, and maintenance of the high-pressure gas Transmission
system, Develops, implements, and coordinates training of Pipeline
Operations employees, Provides all survey related support required
for new transmission, installations as well as existing facility
operations, Ensures standardization relating to gas measurement,
Oversees the operation and maintenance of Compressor Stations, and
Processing facilities. Knows and understands the requirements and
regulations of a PSM Facility. Oversees the installation and
maintenance of the regulating and measuring equipment, Provides
support and coordinates corrosion and cathodic protection operation
functions, Oversees and coordinates all Compliance Related
Inspections and functions. Performs other duties as requested or
assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceThe
knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into
this job include the following: 7+ years directly related Pipeline
Operations experience (plus Associates degree or its equivalent) or
at least 5 years of directly related Pipeline Operations experience
(plus bachelors degree), or 9 Years directly related Pipeline
Operations experience (plus High School Diploma or GED). Full
knowledge of pipeline Transmission system; construction work
methods; maintenance and repair; operations guidelines; cost
analysis; customer service; essential computer skills, Knowledge of
operations of the assigned area: operations training, Measurement
and Regulation, Compressor Station operations and Safety.
Understanding and experience with the implementation of company
policies/procedures and compliance with applicable regulations and
natural gas-related codes pertinent to the position (i.e., DOT,
OSHA, FERC, OQ, environmental, etc.), Understanding of budgeting
(capital and O & M) and purchasing (material procurement, service
and equipment contracting, etc.) processes, Ability to effectively
supervise a diverse work group, Proven planning, organizational and
prioritization skills, Ability to communicate across a broad range
of disciplines to develop rapport, synergies, and effective
relationships, Demonstrated proficiency in the use of logical
problem analysis to facilitate the development of solutions and
options to resolve problems, Proficiency in the compilation and
evaluation of records, reports and drawings in written and database
systems (i.e., engineering schematics, inspection databases, budget
reports, financial accounting systems), Ability to effectively
utilize a personal computer and the associated programs, systems,
and databases, Prior supervisory experience in a related operations
