Immediate opening for Certified Flaggers for the Duchesne County Road Department.

• This is a seasonal/temporary position, but this job is for you if you love working outdoors on nice sunny days.
  POSITION PROFILE
  Primary responsibility is to perform traffic control within work sites for maintenance and construction projects. Operates assigned equipment, and performs other assigned general labor duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Controls traffic by flagging to guide traffic through work areas and explains to the public the reasons for the job being performed courteously and professionally.
    
  • Exercises good safety working procedures and practices.
    
  • Works cooperatively as a crew member. Reads and interprets written instructions and documents and follows oral instructions.
    
  • Assists crews with vegetation, drainage, traffic, new sign, and base installation, and surfacing. Able to work varying schedules and works overtime as needed.
    
    Must be 18 years of age or older.
    Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background investigation.
