Position Overview:
The Safety and Quality Assurance Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our field technicians working within the Conveyance Division and on Special Projects. This position requires an individual with comprehensive mechanical knowledge of Preventative Maintenance on Conveyor belt systems, expert-level understanding and certification in OSHA Safety Compliance, and the ability to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the division. The Safety Inspector will conduct thorough audits and inspections, provide detailed reports, and train and onboard technicians with safety training. This role requires independence, confidentiality, and direct reporting to the COO and CEO.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Act as an ambassador and safety coordinator, promoting a culture of safety among technicians and clients.
  • Conduct thorough and random audits and inspections of field technicians at job sites to ensure safety and compliance with Company Policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Conveyance Division and Special Projects.
  • Provide safety training and guidance to technicians on proper safety procedures and practices.
  • Issue detailed inspection reports for safety checks on job sites.
  • Investigate and report safety incidents, near misses, and hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with management, clients, and other stakeholders to develop and implement safety initiatives and programs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in Preventative Maintenance on Conveyor belt systems.
  • Report findings, concerns, and recommendations directly to the COO and CEO.
  • Work independently, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information. Requirements

    Requirements:
    • Basic customer service experience and willingness to represent the company to customers on site.
    • Able to pass a background screening and have a clean driving record.
    • Representing Force Building Services in their work ethic, appearance, tone, and completed product.
    • Must always conduct themselves with the utmost integrity.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
    • Willingness to travel to different job sites and client locations.
    • Full mechanical knowledge and experience with Preventative Maintenance on Conveyor belt systems.
    • Expert in OSHA Safety Compliance with relevant certifications.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety inspection role within a similar industry.
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing SOPs.
    • Strong auditing and inspection skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to train and onboard technicians effectively.
    • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in using safety inspection tools and software. Physical Requirements:
      • Ability to work in various commercial settings and be on-call when needed.
      • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move heavy equipment as needed.
      • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for long periods.
      • Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
      • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or stairs for extended periods.
      • Ability to work in confined spaces.
      • Must be able to wear PPE for extended periods.
      • Capability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor job sites.
      • Visual and auditory acuity to conduct detailed inspections and assessments. Work Environment:
        • This role requires travel up to 100% of the time, traveling between cities frequently by plane or car.
        • Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
        • Field-based role with frequent visits to job sites.
        • Exposure to industrial environments, including noise, dust, and machinery.
        • Regular travel to various locations as required.
        • Office environment for report writing and meetings.

            Salary Description

            $55,000 - $85,000 / Annually
