Job Description Job Description Our company is committed to
being trusted voices of light and truth reaching hundreds of
millions of people worldwide. The Church News seeks a translation
coordinator who can quickly and accurately coordinate the
translation of content from English to French for the Church News’
existing and future delivery channels. This individual will
translate and coordinate translation work with members of the
editing team and contracted translators, so Church News content can
be published in French in a timely manner. The chosen applicant
needs to be fluent in English and French. Applicants must be able
to work in the Church News office in Salt Lake City , Utah, and all
employees must be able to legally live and work in the United
States (and specifically be residents in the State of Utah). The
Church News team currently works 1-3 assigned days per week in the
office and 3-4 days per week remotely, at the editor’s discretion.
Applicants must live within a daily commutable distance to the
office in downtown Salt Lake City. Church News is a record of the
news of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the
ministry of its leaders. The Church News website, app and social
media channels are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
These will be available in 2026 for French readers. Key
Responsibilities Translate and publish 90% or more of the articles
published by Church News. Translate and publish Church News social
media posts, video and audio content. Counsel with the Church News
team on the needs of the French-speaking audience. Coordinate with
contracted translators to meet deadlines and maintain quality
standards. Maintain consistency of Church News tone, terminology
and editorial voice across all French-language content. Support
localization efforts, including collaboration with area offices, to
ensure cultural and linguistic relevance for French-speaking
readers across the globe. Coordinate other French translation needs
as content delivery systems and translation resources emerge and
evolve. You are the right fit if you have: 4 years of experience
translating or speaking French in a business environment 4 years as
a project coordinator or manager with a background in French
Background knowledge of the Church News, its mission and content,
and Church history, doctrine and vocabulary Extensive vocabulary,
correct spelling, grammar and punctuation in English and French
Bachelor's degree in English or French, with a Master's or
Doctorate preferred Background translating for other businesses
Understanding of AP Style and Church style About Church News Church

have sought to record the global news and events of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the ministry of its leaders.
