Seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for our apartment
community in Provo, UT. This is an exciting opportunity with a

Compensation $18.00 per hour or DOE, plus bonus. Rental housing

external. Job Description The Maintenance Technician reports to the
Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in all the
property's maintenance needs, physical appearance, and work orders.
The Maintenance Technician's primary responsibilities include hands
on maintenance of the property including general upkeep and repair
to units and the grounds, responding according to company policy to
work order requests, turn and make ready, maintaining excellent
resident relations through superior customer service. On call &
some weekend availability required. Your job responsibilities are
included but not limited to items listed below. At Horizon, we

accomplish results. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain positive resident relations through superior
service
- Participate in the daily operations of the property
- General maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and
facilities; including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry,
heating & cooling and other building systems
- Respond to Work Order per company policy
- Grounds and exterior upkeep as needed
- The Turn and Make Ready process + inspecting units for move in
readiness
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the
risk of future problems
- Ensuring company policy and state and federal safety and fair
housing laws are met
- Ensures company, state, and federal policies and laws are being
met
- Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to better the property and

compensation packet including a very competitive salary (DOE),

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 1 year maintenance experience required
- Maintenance experience in multi-unit complexes or hotels
preferred
- Experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC preferred
- Mechanical background preferred
- REQUIREMENTS
- Good organizational and people skills
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
- Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- A valid driver's license, good driving record and proof of
insurance is required
- A passion to serve residents, parents, vendors, and
colleagues
